Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is from Belarus and was born in Minsk. Her father Sergey (d. 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles, one that was awarded the title "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. For doubles she's extremely skilled. She has won two Majors with Elise Mertens The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She also achieved an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. The Sunshine Double was only possible for four couples. make it happen in women's doubles. She went from 2nd to third in the singles world positions on the 23rd August of 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was achieved again in the month of January in 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles championship in February of 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed to climb up the rankings and take over the top spot for this particular area.
